Abstract
Role of Catalysis in Sustainable Chemistry
Sustainable Chemistry aims at the design of products which minimizes the use and generation of harmful substances which have an adverse effect on the encvironment. Sustainable Chemistry is based on the 12 principles of Green Chemistry which provide a blue print for sustainable development.Among these, the use of catalysts and improving atom economy of chemical reactions are most impotant.Catalysts are the pillars of Green Chemistry and worldwide ,there is a constant search for novel catalysts.
