To date we have published some papers of amino acid Schiff base Cu(II) complexes exhibiting photocatalytic reduction of Cr(VI) ions Of course, photo-catalysts may be one of the promising materials of green chemistry, and their reactivity was enhanced by photo-irradiation with proper wavelengths. During the course study, we obtained some dinuclear Cu(II) complexes showing antiferromagnetic interaction in the solid state. In this way, I am interested in multi-functional electronic (light, valence, and spin)metal compounds and their “reactivity”. In this talk, based on a literature review of recent articles (beside my works), I will discuss the relationship between spin and reactivity (Scheme1).
